In the military, when a soldier needed to purchase personal items, he would go to the Post Exchange (PX). This concept has been applied to this website as a means of funding the acquisition of material from military archives, the conversion of microfilm pages into graphics for better readability and the annual cost of purchasing hosting services.
If you are interested in making a purchase, here's what happens. (1) You select an item, for example a golf shirt with the 701st Bomb Squadron logo on it. Clicking on the image will open a new window with the product description. You may look at a larger image or see the logo in detail. (2) You select the desired size. (3) If you are through shopping, proceed to checkout. At checkout, you may pay for your purchases by credit card or there is a toll-free phone number if you would like to call in your order. None of your credit card information is retained on the site and they use encryption to ensure that your card information is scrambled so that nobody can read the data but them.
The following images are samples of what's available through the PX. These items are made on-demand. This means I do not have to maintain an inventory of items; all I do is produce the graphic images that are displayed on the items offered. The pictures are in sequence as to how to make a purchase.
